
Returning
students (ie second, third or fourth year students) are housed in
a wide range of different types of accommodation. This accommodation
is located both on-campus and off-campus, in the city of Stirling
itself.
All accommodation for returning students is offered on a 38 week let basis for Session 2010/11 meaning that students can continue to occupy their rooms over the seven week Christmas vacation period.
Muirhead Flats
Offering modern accommodation, the Muirhead complex is made up of a selection of three, four and five bedroom self contained flats. Each flat comprises a good sized open plan kitchen/dining sitting area. Individual bedrooms are equipped with a wash hand basin; shower and WC facilities are shared between the flat's three, four or five residents.

Polwarth Flats
Polwarth Flats are made up of either four or six bedrooms with each bedroom having its own wash hand basin. Shower and WC facilities are shared. Each Polwarth flat has a small communal kitchen/dining sitting area.

Fraser Flats
The most recent property to benefit from the University's rolling residences refurbishment programme, Fraser Flats offer a choice of four, five, or seven person accommodation; each bedroom in a seven person flat has its own wash hand basin. The occupants of all Fraser flats share kitchen, shower and WC facilities.

Donnelly Flats
Donnelly Flats offer excellent apartment-style accommodation comprising five or seven person accommodation; each bedroom in a seven person Donnelly flat has its own wash hand basin. The occupants of all Donnelly Flats share kitchen, shower and WC facilities.

A modern accommodation complex located within a secluded area of the campus, each apartment within Alexander Court offers accommodation for up to seven students. Each bedroom has its own wash hand basin, with students sharing kitchen, shower and WC facilities.

Spittal
Hill Chalets
Pendreich Way Chalets
There
are 33 detached, Scandinavian style, timber chalets on-campus. These
provide accommodation for up to five students and always prove extremely
popular.
Shower, WC and kitchen facilities (including fridge freezer) are shared between the chalet's occupants.
Heating and lighting, and limited cleaning, are included in the rental fee charged. 24-hour portering cover is provided by staff from Andrew Stewart Hall for Pendreich Way Chalets and staff at Geddes Court for Spittal Hill Chalets.

Union Street Development
The Union Street Flats are located off-campus, in the city of Stirling itself. Some 266 rooms are available within Union Street's four and six bedroom flats. Shower, WC and kitchen facilities are shared, with all kitchens equipped with cookers and fridge freezers.
Lets are normally for 38 weeks or 50 weeks on application to the Residential Services Office.
Limited background heating is included within the sessional rent, with students required to pay any remaining electricity costs.
Union Street also benefits from 24-hour portering cover.

John Forty's Court
A
modern complex located next to the historic Stirling Bridge, John
Forty's Court offers 287 rooms. Each flat within John Forty's Court
sleeps seven students and offers a spacious open plan kitchen, dining
and sitting area.
A combination of en suite and standard rooms are available within John Forty's Court.
Standard study bedrooms have their own wash hand basin, with students sharing shower and WC facilities. En suite study bedrooms have their own private shower and WC facilities.
Limited background heating is included within the sessional rent, with students required to pay any remaining electricity costs.
Kitchen facilities are shared and offer ample cooking and food storage areas including a fridge freezer.
John Forty's Court also benefits from 24-hour portering cover.

Thistle Chambers
This accommodation is situated in the centre of Stirling above the main shopping centre and consists of 6 flats of varying sizes comprising of 5, 6 and 7 single study bedrooms, large kitchen/sitting area, shower rooms and toilet facilities. All kitchen areas are equipped with cookers, fridge/freezers and microwave ovens. There is also a laundry facility on site.
Heating and lighting, and limited cleaning, are included in the rental fee charged.
